With it, you can cook, roast, braise, deep-fry, steam, and bake almost anywhere. Whether at the fire pit, barbecue area, or campfire – the Potjie is mobile, robust, and versatile.

Hearty one-pot dishes, rich stews, aromatic pan-fried dishes, sweet foods, and much more are particularly easy to prepare in the Potjie. The three legs provide a stable stand, so no separate pot stand is needed. The pot is ready for immediate use for a variety of dishes.

Thanks to its high mass of cast iron, the Potjie ensures excellent heat distribution and compensates for even uneven heat sources. This way, food cooks evenly and gently. Simply place glowing coals, embers, or grill briquettes on both the lid and under the pot – and nothing stands in the way of your Potjie experience.

The cast iron pot is ideal for outdoor cooking, camping, barbecues, and cozy gatherings in the garden. Whether you want to slow-braise stews, tenderly cook meat, or bake bread directly over the embers – the Potjie is the perfect companion for anyone who loves rustic outdoor cooking.

BBQ-Toro Potjies are pre-seasoned and ready for immediate use. Detailed instructions are included in the delivery should re-seasoning be necessary after use. This way, you are well prepared for care and handling.

Information on seasoning
BBQ-Toro Potjies are pre-seasoned and ready for immediate use. If re-seasoning is necessary, clean the pot with hot water. Then rub it with flavorless vegetable fat (e.g., coconut oil). Place the Potjie upside down in the oven at 200 °C for one hour (or better, in a hot kettle grill outdoors). Rub off any remaining fat. Done. Repeat this treatment regularly so that the pores fill and the pot is optimally protected from rust.

Information on cleaning/care
For cleaning, hot water is sufficient - scrub off coarser food residues with a brush. Never use soap or harsh detergents. These destroy the fat layer, and the pot will then need to be re-seasoned (see above). Do not store food residues in the Potjie. Remove ash immediately after use from the lid and pot, as this can promote rust in conjunction with moisture.

Information on storage
Grease with good cooking oil, place a sheet of kitchen paper inside, and do not close the lid completely. This way, the Potjie will easily survive longer storage periods.

Order your BBQ-Toro Potjie now and enjoy your grilling results in good spirits and perfectly equipped!

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0989/5759/0792/files/POT3_potjie_mit_fuesse_bild1_2000px.jpg?v=1763114867
